Something similar happened with a woman named Emily Ricketts.

Emily Ricketts.

32-year-old Emily is a personal trainer by profession. Emily has two children and in each of her pregnancies, Emily gained about 50 kg of weight. Emily has shared her weight loss journey with people and told which things helped her in losing weight.
Emily told that she was never fit and active. She used to be very chubby even during her school days. Emily told that in her 20s, she tried many fad diets to lose weight and consumed only juices to lose weight quickly. Emily said, during this time I tortured my body by doing a lot of cardio. But in the mid-20s, Emily met her future husband, who used to do strength training.

Emily said, 'He seemed very strong because he used to do a lot of strength training. Seeing him, I felt that why can't I do this? So I also started doing strength training. During this time, I learned a lot about giving energy to my body from adequate food, especially protein.'

Emily said, 'In a few days, I started seeing changes in my body. My body was changing very fast.' Emily said, 'I was so encouraged by this change that I started posting about it on my social media.'

Emily said, 'At that time I used to do an office job and everyone used to make fun of me. To avoid people's jokes, I used to go to the toilet and share posts on social media, but I did not give up. In the year 2019, I completed my studies as a personal trainer. I quit my job and started sharing fitness videos and posts on social media full time.'

Emily said, I got pregnant in the year 2021, and during this time I was very active. I also did walks and light strength training exercises during this time. I did everything that could give me energy.

Emily said, 'I gained 50 kgs during pregnancy. Pregnant women are appreciated a lot in society and everyone likes their baby bump, but after the baby is born, the same people in the society comment on the woman's body.

Even after pregnancy, many women have a bulging belly which makes it feel like they are still pregnant. Emily said that even after 6 weeks of delivery, my belly was still bulging.'

Emily told that I breastfed my daughter for 10 months, due to which her breasts started looking very heavy. Emily said that it was not comfortable for me at all and I needed to change my body.

Emily said, 'I started thinking about calorie deficit to lose weight, but it is not possible to do so in breastfeeding. In such a situation, instead of losing weight, I focused on raising my daughter. I started including simple things in my diet, like smoothies. After a year, whatever weight I had gained, it was reduced.'

In the year 2023, Emily gave birth to another child, and this time Emily was already ready for all these things. During pregnancy, Emily followed her workout routine. In her second pregnancy, Emily gained about 40 kg. During this time Emily used to train for 30 minutes daily.

Towards the end of my second pregnancy, I started training in circuit-slides, which included 30 seconds of exercise and 30 seconds of rest. My aim was to mentally prepare myself for labor pain. I did as many rounds as I could every day.

After pregnancy, my body became very loose and stretch marks also started appearing. During this time my breasts also became very heavy. My whole body became very ugly, but I was satisfied that my daughters were being raised. I wanted to make motherhood my strong phase.

Emily told that when she used to do pushups and planks, her elder daughter also used to follow her. Emily said, 'I want to tell my daughters that exercising is a pleasure, not a punishment.'
